Probabilistic approach for granular media equations in the non uniformly convex case

چکیده
We use here a particle system to prove a convergence result as well as a deviation inequality for solutions of granular media equation when the confinement potential and the interaction potential are no more uniformly convex. Proof is straightforward, simplifying deeply proofs of Carrillo-McCann-Villani [CMCV03, CMCV06] and completing results of Malrieu [Mal03] in the uniformly convex case. It relies on an uniform propagation of chaos property and a direct control in Wasserstein distance of solutions starting with different initial measures. The deviation inequality is obtained via a T1 transportation cost inequality replacing the logarithmic Sobolev inequality which is no more clearly dimension free. DESIGN OF MINIMUM SEEPAGE LOSS IRRIGATION CANAL SECTIONS USING PROBABILISTIC SEARCH
To ensure efficient performance of irrigation canals, the losses from the canals need to be minimized. In this paper a modified formulation is presented to solve the optimization model for the design of different canal geometries for minimum seepage loss, in meta-heuristic environment. The complex non-linear and non-convex optimization model for canal design is solved using a probabilistic sear...
متن کاملA Method for Solving Convex Quadratic Programming Problems Based on Differential-algebraic equations
In this paper, a new model based on differential-algebraic equations(DAEs) for solving convex quadratic programming(CQP) problems is proposed. It is proved that the new approach is guaranteed to generate optimal solutions for this class of optimization problems. This paper also shows that the conventional interior point methods for solving (CQP) problems can be viewed as a special case of the n...
متن کاملRemarks on a class of kinetic models of granular media: asymptotics and entropy bounds
We obtain new a priori estimates for spatially inhomogeneous solutions of a kinetic equation for granular media, as first proposed in [3] and, more recently, studied in [1]. In particular, we show that a family of convex functionals on the phase space is non-increasing along the flow of such equations, and we deduce consequences on the asymptotic behaviour of solutions. Furthermore, using an ad...
متن کاملExtension of Cube Attack with Probabilistic Equations and its Application on Cryptanalysis of KATAN Cipher
Cube Attack is a successful case of Algebraic Attack. Cube Attack consists of two phases, linear equation extraction and solving the extracted equation system. Due to the high complexity of equation extraction phase in finding linear equations, we can extract nonlinear ones that could be approximated to linear equations with high probability. The probabilistic equations could be considered as l...
متن کاملProbability Model of Decision Making for Successful Transplantation of Non-Cadaveric Organs (RESEARCH NOTE)
Mathematical modeling based on a probabilistic approach for making decisions for organ transplantation can be successfully employed in cases when the choice of decisions can affect the results produced. In this study, the minimum probability of success required for organ transplantion in case of multi-donors is determined. The governing equations are constructed in terms of probabilities and so...
